To memorialize and Honor All Of Oregon's Fallen Heroes from 1859 to the present Afghanistan & Iraq Wars.
Thank you to all whose generous support will make it possible to honor Oregon's veterans.
God bless you all and thank you for your courage, dedication, and commitment.
OUR MISSION: We have constructed a veterans' war memorial to honor all branches of the military. This statewide memorial focuses on all war casualties from Oregon's statehood in 1859 through the Iraq War.

Oregon Fallen War Heroes Memorial
In Your Honor
Unselfishly, you left your fathers and your mothers, You left behind your sisters and your brothers.
Leaving your beloved children and wives, You put on hold, your dreams—your lives.
On foreign soil, you found yourself planted To fight for those whose freedom you granted.
Without your sacrifice, their cause would be lost But you carried onward, no matter the cost.
Many horrors you had endured and seen. Many faces had haunted your dreams.
You cheered as your enemies littered the ground; You cried as your brothers fell all around.

Those who have fallen while in the military have made the ultimate sacrifice for "America's interests, America's people, America's allies and America's values," U.S. Sen. Gordon Smith, R-Ore. told the more than 100 people gathered for the ceremony.
It seemed appropriate to hold the ground-breaking ceremony on Memorial Day followed by a dedication ceremony on Nov. 11 — Veterans Day, Richardson said following the ceremony.
Oregon Fallen War Heroes Memorial Dedication Ceremony
CENTRAL POINT—The public is invited to the Veterans Day Ceremony and Dedication of the Oregon Fallen War Heroes Memorial in Central Point. The event begins at 12:45 p.m. on Veterans Day, November 11th, with patriotic music provided by the Southern Oregon Symphonic Band, followed by a Fighter-jet Fly-by at 1:00 p.m. The hour long ceremony will feature a special flag raising ceremony, brief speeches by Gold Star Mother, Linda Gibson, Senator Alan Bates and St. Rep. Dennis Richardson, a 21 gun salute, taps. A special bag-pipe musical presentation will conclude this memorable Veterans Day. The memorial and park are located near Mon Desir Restaurant, on Hamrick Road next to the old cemetery in Central Point. Refreshments will be served.
"The new Oregon Fallen War Heroes Memorial in Central Point will honor the 5800 Oregonians who have died in action while serving our state and nation in the armed forces. For these men and women, freedom was not free—each paid the price with his or her life. This memorial will help us remember always those who made the ultimate sacrifice."
said Rep. Richardson; he went on to say, "This special Veterans Day ceremony will honor our veterans, our troops presently serving, and those who died in action. The Oregon Fallen War Heroes Memorial is dedicated to them. We invite everyone, especially families with youth and children, to come spend an hour on Veterans Day, attend this historic event, and pay a lasting tribute to Oregon's veterans."
The ¼ acre memorial has 8 individual monuments honoring each branch of the military service, and the Order of the Purple Heart. The names of Oregon's 5,800 "fallen heroes" from every war since statehood are inscribed on the monuments. In the center is a pedestal displaying a pair of bronze American Eagles, plus an inner-ring of flags, one for each military branch. A large, lighted American flag will wave proudly in the memorial's center. The courtyard of flags is paved with memorial bricks engraved with names of loved ones and key memorial supporters. In addition to the monuments, flags and walkways, the memorial is professionally landscaped with grass, plants, flowers and trees. At the end of the memorial a covered pavilion provides shelter for those who come to sit, ponder and enjoy the serenity and beauty of the memorial park.
